Kennywood Employee’s Heroic Rescue of Ducklings Goes Viral
PITTSBURGH – A heartwarming rescue at Kennywood Amusement Park has captured hearts online, thanks to a dedicated employee’s quick action to save stranded ducklings. Noah, a member of the park’s operations team, leaped into the waters of the Pittsburg Plunge ride to rescue several baby ducks trapped on the ride’s track after swimming in the park’s fountain.
In a video that has gone viral on TikTok, Noah is seen wading through the water to reach the vulnerable birds, ensuring their safety. "Our team had to respond since they were in a ride area, and I was the only available supervisor to take the call," Noah explained in a Facebook post. Following a discussion with the park’s safety director, the ride was temporarily shut down, allowing him to carry out the rescue.
Once retrieved, the ducklings were gently placed in nearby bushes, where their parents soon came to attend to them. The park celebrated Noah’s efforts, posting, "CHEERS for jumping into action to help some baby ducklings in need, Noah!" They encouraged patrons to alert staff if they notice wildlife needing assistance during their visit.
This touching incident not only showcases the park’s commitment to animal welfare but also highlights the importance of community action. For those interested in seeing the rescue, the video is available on TikTok.
Kennywood remains a popular destination for fun and excitement, but this event serves as a reminder of the small yet significant moments that can happen in our world.
