Discover Rural Serenity at Perry County Council of the Arts
NEWPORT — The Perry County Council of the Arts invites art enthusiasts and the community to explore "Rural Serenity," a captivating exhibit featuring the works of renowned artist Valerie Moyer. This exhibition highlights the tranquil beauty of Pennsylvania’s countryside, capturing the essence of rural life through Moyer’s intricate landscape and still-life paintings.
Moyer, a native of Beaver Springs with over two decades of experience, skillfully portrays local scenes, from rolling fields to historic homesteads. Her art not only visually represents the region’s charm but also embodies the personal histories and memories intertwined with these landscapes. A whimsical touch that sets her apart is a hidden bunny, a playful signature symbol cleverly tucked away in each piece.
"Rural Serenity" is on display at the PCCA Gallery, located at 1 S. 2nd St., Newport, and will run through Saturday, July 5, 2025. The gallery welcomes visitors from Wednesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering a full selection of original acrylic paintings as well as framed and unframed prints available for purchase.
