University of Pennsylvania Athletes Earn Academic Honors
PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania is proud to announce that three of its women’s track and field athletes have been honored as part of the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District teams for the 2024-25 season. Moforehan Abinusawa, Meghan Hart, and Samantha Strydesky earned this prestigious distinction, recognizing their exceptional achievements both on the track and in the classroom.
These selections highlight the Quakers’ commitment not only to athletic excellence but also to academic achievement. To qualify for the Academic All-District teams, student-athletes must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.50 while showcasing outstanding performance in their sport. The nominees were selected by CSC members, underscoring the significance of this recognition among collegiate athletics.
The honor places Abinusawa, Hart, and Strydesky among the nation’s elite student-athletes, further enhancing Penn’s reputation for producing well-rounded individuals who excel in competitive arenas. The Academic All-District teams serve as a precursor for the Academic All-America ballot, with selected athletes eligible for further recognition by the CSC membership. Voting for this prestigious accolade is set to take place between June 24 and July 1, with results to be announced on July 15.
