Pennsylvania Family Staying at Ronald McDonald House Spreads Message of Hope

Press Release: Sibling’s Artistic Tribute to Late Sister Inspires Hope

Richboro, PA – “Sarah’s Painting,” created by 9-year-old Sarah Pulaski during her battle with leukemia, is gaining renewed significance as her brother, Ryan Pulaski, releases a song inspired by her vibrant artwork. Sarah’s father, Michael Pulaski, shares that painting became a heartfelt means of communication for her amid chemotherapy. “It meant something to her, so it meant something to us,” he reflected.

Ryan, now 22, is merging his creativity with memories of Sarah as he embarks on a musical journey. His first single, aptly titled “Sarah’s Painting,” was launched on what would have been Sarah’s 25th birthday. The song encapsulates the essence of her colorful spirit, with Ryan expressing, “In Sarah’s Painting, I see visions of life it should be.” He attributes finding his artistic voice to his sister’s influence, stating, “I feel exceptionally called to create art because of her.”

The Pulaski family’s story is one of resilience and love. Several years ago, CBS News Philadelphia featured Sarah’s bright spirit during a telethon, capturing her joy while speaking about the Ronald McDonald House. Though she went into remission, Sarah ultimately lost her fight with leukemia at the age of 11.

Ryan reminisces about their unbreakable sibling bond, humorously noting, “She’d probably tell me I still can’t sing,” but believes she would be proud of his new musical endeavor. Michael Pulaski emphasized the importance of hope in their journey, saying, “If my son can find hope and joy, then I think the rest of us can too.”

The Pulaski family continues to inspire others with their story, proving that love and memories create an enduring legacy. For more updates, visit CBS Philadelphia.
