May 2025 – Penn Women’s Basketball has announced the promotion of Ashley Robinson to Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator, effective immediately. Robinson, who has been with the program in various capacities since 2016, most recently served as the Assistant Recruiting Coordinator and Assistant Coach.
Entering her seventh season in her current role, Robinson returns to the Quakers for her second stint, amassing eight seasons with the team overall. Her contributions have been pivotal in developing the team’s post players, including guiding standout athletes Stina Almqvist, a first-team All-Ivy selection, and Katie Collins, the 2024-25 Ivy League Rookie of the Year.
Robinson’s coaching prowess has been evident since her return in 2019, where she played an instrumental role in Eleah Parker earning Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year honors for two consecutive years. Under her leadership, Parker also achieved unanimous Ivy League Rookie of the Year recognition, contributing to the Quakers’ remarkable run, which saw them secure the Big 5 championship in 2017-18 and a WNIT berth.
A former standout athlete, Robinson was team captain at Saint Joseph’s University, leading them to an Atlantic-10 championship and multiple NCAA tournament appearances. Acclaimed for her leadership, she received the Patricia Ryan Unsung Hero Award and the Roosevelt Hunter Community Service Award during her collegiate career.
In addition to her playing and coaching achievements, Robinson has been actively involved in local basketball camps as a mentor and counselor. She holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from Saint Joseph’s University, specializing in Business Administration and Human Capital Management.
This promotion highlights Robinson’s commitment to excellence and her significant impact on Penn Women’s Basketball.
