Sarah Miller Named to Japanese Women’s Basketball National Team Training Camp Roster
PHILADELPHIA – Following an impressive freshman season at the University of Pennsylvania, guard Sarah Miller has been selected for the training camp roster of the Japanese Women’s Basketball National Team. She is one of only 25 athletes chosen for this opportunity, reflecting her outstanding performance throughout the 2024-25 season.
Miller’s contributions to the Quakers were significant, appearing in all 28 games and making 11 starts. She averaged 5.5 points per game, hitting 37 three-pointers and maintaining a shooting accuracy of 35.9 percent from beyond the arc. Her standout performance came during the Big 5 Classic, where she earned USBWA National Freshman of the Week honors after scoring a season-high 21 points, including five three-pointers, in a victory over La Salle on December 6.
In her new endeavor, Miller will travel to Inazawa City, Japan, to participate in two exhibition games against Chinese Taipei on June 7 and 8. This training camp is a crucial step for Miller and the other athletes as they vie for a spot on the national team roster for the upcoming 2025 FIBA Women’s Asia Cup, scheduled to take place in Shenzhen, China from July 13 to July 20.
