Ronald Moore Joins Penn Basketball Staff as Assistant Coach
Philadelphia, PA – April 2025 – The University of Pennsylvania has welcomed Ronald Moore as an assistant coach on Fran McCaffery’s inaugural staff. Moore, who makes his college coaching debut with the Quakers, brings extensive experience from his professional career in Europe and a distinguished collegiate background at Siena College.
While at Siena from 2006 to 2010, Moore played a vital role as the floor general during a historic stretch for the Saints, leading the team to three Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) championships and NCAA Tournament appearances every year, including notable victories over Vanderbilt and Ohio State. He graduated as Siena’s all-time assists leader with 823 and holds the top two single-season assist totals in program history.
Moore’s accolades include being named a District I First Team selection by the National Association of Basketball Coaches and a national finalist for the Bob Cousy Award, which recognizes the top collegiate point guard. Additionally, he earned first-team All-MAAC honors during his senior year and was a member of the winningest class in Siena’s history.
A local product from Plymouth Meeting, PA, Moore attended Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School where he was recognized as a third-team All-Southern Pennsylvania selection. He and his wife, Kristin, reside in Plymouth Meeting with their children, Cameron and Ava. Moore’s family has a strong basketball heritage, with connections to both the ABA and NBA.
As he embarks on this new chapter at Penn, Moore’s extensive knowledge and experience are expected to greatly benefit the Quakers’ basketball program.
