University of Pennsylvania Unveils 2025 Field Hockey Schedule Under New Head Coach Scott Tupper
PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania’s field hockey program is gearing up for a challenging 2025 season, with a schedule recently announced by head coach Scott Tupper, who is entering his first year in the role.
“We’re excited to face some of the best teams in the country and the Mid-Atlantic region,” Tupper remarked, expressing his anticipation for how early season competition will prepare the team for its Ivy League battles. “We will aim to build on our performances so that we’re at our best come October and November.”
The Quakers will kick off their season with a pair of home scrimmages against Towson on August 24 and the University of British Columbia, Tupper’s alma mater, on August 31. The regular season begins with a neutral-site game against North Carolina in Princeton, NJ, on September 5, followed by a matchup with Old Dominion on September 7.
After contests at Maryland and American, Penn launches Ivy League play against Princeton on September 19. The Red and Blue finally return to their home turf for a match against Drexel on September 21.
The Ivy League schedule continues with key home and away matchups, including a critical game against two-time defending champion Harvard on October 4. Penn will play three consecutive away games against Columbia, Villanova, and Temple before wrapping up the regular season with a strong home finale against Delaware on November 2 after visiting Cornell on November 1.
