The user, known as ATown1516, not only deleted the Tinder scandal details but also removed references to Mackenzie’s support for discredited claims about the 2020 election and his votes against reproductive rights.
Critics have raised questions about whether taxpayer resources were used in these edits, as both Mackenzie’s office and Armstrong have yet to comment on the allegations. Eli Cousin, spokesperson for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), expressed concerns, stating, “Ryan Mackenzie is a sleazebag who lied about his age on Tinder… Lehigh Valley voters deserve to know if Mackenzie asked his congressional staff to cover up his inappropriate behavior.”
This scandal has already prompted over 100 women to demand a public apology from Mackenzie, who narrowly won his seat in November 2023 by just one percentage point. With his district marked as a tossup, this controversy could significantly impact his re-election campaign.
