Perkiomen Valley’s girls’ basketball program has received multiple honors following their state championship win. Grace Galbavy was named the Pennsylvania Sports Writers All-State Class 6A Player of the Year after leading the team in scoring and becoming the all-time leading girls’ scorer in the program and conference. Head coach John Russo was named Coach of the Year for guiding the team to its third straight championships.
Two more players, Quinn Boettinger and Bella Bacani, were selected to the Second Team All-State. Boettinger, the team’s leading scorer in the playoffs, will play at Navy, while Bacani, the team’s floor general and facilitator, will play at Jefferson University. The team’s success was attributed to their unity and teamwork.
Galbavy expressed gratitude to her teammates for their role in the team’s success, with Russo praising the team’s consistency over the past three years.
