The University of Pennsylvania baseball team is on a hot streak, winning five consecutive games and now tied for first place in the Ivy League standings. The Quakers are coming off a three-game sweep of Princeton and are gearing up for a rematch with Cornell at Booth Field in Ithaca, NY. Junior pitcher Thomas Shurtleff was named Ivy League Pitcher of the Week after a stellar performance. Penn leads the all-time series against Cornell and is looking to continue their winning ways. In terms of hitting, Jarrett Pokrovsky leads the team with a .364 batting average, while Gavin Collins and Ryan Taylor are hitting over .300. The team is ranked third in doubles per game nationally. On the mound, pitchers Noah Millikan, Josh Katz, and Will Tobin will be making starts for the Quakers. Cornell, on the other hand, has had an up-and-down season and is currently in fourth place in the Ivy League standings. The Big Red is led by hitters Ryan Porter, Kevin Hager, and Mark Quatrani.
