Fletcher and Kerico Wrap Up Season at NCAA Regionals


Skyelar Kerico and Mimi Fletcher recently concluded their seasons for the University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team at the NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Pennsylvania Regional. Kerico, a junior from Toms River, N.J., set a new all-around program record with a score of 39.450, breaking her own record for the second time this season. She achieved career-high scores on the balance beam (9.925) and floor (9.900), while also scoring a 9.800 on vault and a 9.825 on bars. Kerico’s impressive performance tied her for third on beam and sixth on floor among all competitors. In addition, she now holds the seven best all-around scores in program history.

Fletcher, a freshman, competed with the University of Michigan and scored a 9.625 in the second rotation. She became the first Penn freshman to compete at NCAA’s since 1991.

Kerico’s standout achievements at the Pennsylvania Regional solidify her as a key player for the Penn gymnastics team, while Fletcher’s performance as a freshman demonstrates promise for the team’s future.
