IUP Women’s Lacrosse Dominates in 20-7 Victory over Edinboro
In a commanding performance, the IUP women’s lacrosse team secured a 20-7 victory over Edinboro, scoring at least four goals per quarter. The Hawks now hold a 4-8 overall record and are 2-3 in conference action. IUP controlled the game with 32 ground balls and 43 shots on goal, while Edinboro managed just 10 shots.
Julia Steere led the team with seven points, including five goals and two assists. Lauren Riggs and Kathryn Burke also contributed with three goals each, along with causing turnovers. Ten different players scored IUP’s 20 goals in the game.
The first quarter saw a strong start for IUP, with Steere scoring the opening goal and the team maintaining a lead throughout. The second and third quarters continued to showcase IUP’s dominance, with goals from various players extending their lead. The Hawks sealed the victory with three goals in the final quarter.
