Final Gymnastics Meet of Regular Season to Take Place Against West Virginia Friday Night


The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team is gearing up for their regular season finale against West Virginia at The Palestra on Friday night. The Red and Blue are coming off a victory at William & Mary, where they scored 195.500 and swept the individual event titles. Skyelar Kerico received her fourth Gymnastics East Conference Gymnast of the Week honor after tying her program record in the all-around and setting a new career-best on the balance beam. Manama Fofana also received GEC weekly honors for the third time, scoring two career highs at the last meet.

Mimi Fletcher tied with Kerico for the second-best beam score in program history and has been performing consistently well in recent meets. The Quakers have had a strong season, recording the second-best team score against Towson and winning all four events and the all-around for the second time this season.

The Quakers and Mountaineers are set to compete against each other back-to-back weeks, with West Virginia coming off a season-high 196.275 score in their last meet. The Quakers and Mountaineers are ranked closely in the Road to Nationals rankings and will be looking to put on a strong performance in their upcoming matchup.
