University of Pennsylvania gymnasts Skyelar Kerico and Manama Fofana were recognized by the Gymnastics East Conference (GEC) for their outstanding performances. Kerico, a junior, received her fourth Gymnast of the Week award after tying her program record in the all-around at Towson and posting a career-high score on the balance beam. Fofana, a newcomer, earned Newcomer of the Week honors for the third time with strong showings on vault and balance beam.
Kerico’s standout performances included winning individual titles at both Towson and William & Mary, with high scores on floor exercise, bars, and beam. Fofana also impressed with two career-high scores and top finishes at William & Mary, tying for the best vault score among GEC gymnasts.
Their efforts helped the Quakers achieve season-high scores in bars, beam, and overall competitions last week. The team will conclude their regular season with a dual meet against West Virginia on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
