The University of Pennsylvania softball team faced tough losses against University of Nevada – Las Vegas and Utah State in the Purple Classic at Grand Canyon University. In the game against UNLV, Penn fell 6-1 with Jesse Farrell hitting a solo home run for the Quakers. In the game against Utah State, Penn suffered an 8-0 loss with Kaylee Erickson hitting a grand slam for the Aggies. Penn’s record fell to 1-9 for the season. The Quakers will face UNLV again in their next game before returning to Philadelphia.
