The University of Pennsylvania softball team faced a tough defeat in their final game of the Purple Classic against University of Nevada – Las Vegas, falling 9-2. Despite a strong effort from the Quakers, UNLV’s early lead and consistent scoring throughout the game proved too much to overcome. Penn managed to put up a few runs of their own, with Jade Montgomery and Lexi Youngren contributing to the score, but it wasn’t enough to catch up to the Rebels. With this loss, the Quakers now have a 1-10 record for the season. Looking ahead, Penn will be hosting Rider in a doubleheader on March 11th at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Fans can stay updated on Penn Softball by following @Penn_Softball on X and Instagram, as well as visiting PennAthletics.com. Despite the setback, the team is determined to continue fighting on and working towards future victories on the field.
