Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Anthony McFarland has officially signed with the San Antonio Brahmas for a second season in the United Football League. After trying to make a return to the NFL with a workout for the Washington Commanders in January, McFarland has decided to continue his career in the UFL to work towards getting back into the NFL.
During his first season with the Brahmas, McFarland showcased his skills by putting up impressive numbers, including 190 rushing yards, 206 receiving yards, and scoring four touchdowns, with three through the air. Additionally, he also served as the team’s kick returner, proving his versatility on the field.
McFarland, who was the Steelers’ fourth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, faced challenges with injuries during his time with the team. Despite showing promise and potential, he struggled to stay healthy and make a lasting impact on the field.
With his experience and performance in the UFL, McFarland is optimistic about his chances of returning to the NFL. Fans can look forward to seeing McFarland in action with the San Antonio Brahmas as he continues to pursue his dream of playing in the NFL once again.
