March Schedule Announced by York County Astronomical Society


The York County Astronomical Society, marking its 19th year of offering planetarium programs to the public, has announced new Saturday afternoon and evening programs at the York Learning Center Planetarium. The children’s program, “One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure,” and the new program, “Defying Gravity: It IS Rocket Science!” cater to young children and families, while older family members can enjoy “Chasing the Ghost Particle, and Cosmic Castaways.”

The upcoming schedule for Saturday, March 22, includes “One World, One Sky,” “StarWatch,” “Defying Gravity: It IS Rocket Science!” in the afternoon, and “Chasing the Ghost Particle: From the South Pole to the Edge of the Universe,” “StarWatch,” and “Cosmic Castaways” in the evening. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for children and seniors, with discounts available for multiple shows. Private show reservations start at $40 for up to 60 people.
