Fonseca Earns Ivy League Men’s Golfer of the Month Honor


University of Pennsylvania’s Max Fonseca has been named the Men’s Player of the Month by the Ivy League for his outstanding performance at the Savannah Intercollegiate. Fonseca tied for fourth place out of 84 golfers, shooting a 6-under-par 66 in the first round and an even-par 72 in the second. His performance helped Penn finish third out of 14 teams and was the top scorer for the team.

Fonseca’s impressive play earned him the monthly award and recognition from the Ivy League. The sophomore golfer has showcased his skill and talent on the course, setting himself apart from competitors in the tournament.

Penn’s men’s golf team will continue their season at the All-American Intercollegiate on March 17-18, hosted by the University of Houston at the Golf Club of Houston. The team will look to build on their success and continue to climb the ranks in the competitive field of collegiate golf.
