Penn swimmers Matt Fallon and Peter Whittington were recently honored by the Ivy League for their outstanding performances during the 2024-25 season. Fallon, a senior, was named a first-team All-Ivy selection for the third time in the 200 breast, and a second-team All-Ivy honoree in the 100 breast. He also won his third career Ivy title in the 200 breaststroke, setting an Ivy meet record with a time of 1:48.55. Fallon, who also received Academic All-Ivy laurels, will be aiming for an NCAA championship in the upcoming championships.
Sophomore Peter Whittington was named second-team All-Ivy after finishing in second place in the 400 IM. This was his first time reaching the podium in his career, showing promising potential for the future. Both swimmers have showcased their talent and dedication throughout the season.
Fallon will be competing in the NCAA Championships in March, where he will be looking to secure a national title for Penn. He is aiming to become the first men’s NCAA champion at Penn since Chris Swanson in 2016.
