University of Pennsylvania Gymnastics Team Crowned Ivy Classic Champions for 15th Time
The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team has secured their 15th Ivy Classic title, their second under head coach Kirsten Becker. The team scored a season-high 195.375 to maintain their crown as the Ivy champions. Jordan Barrow and Skyelar Kerico repeated on the vault and all-around, with Kerico winning the bars with a score of 9.875.
The team started strong with a season-high score on the balance beam, led by Mimi Fletcher with a 9.850. In the floor exercise, Penn scored their best in an Ivy Classic since 2018, with Zara Gazdak tying her career-high score of 9.875. The team excelled on the vault as well, with Barrow securing her second straight Ivy Classic title with a score of 9.875.
Penn finished off the Ivy Classic with a solid showing on the bars, with Kerico winning the event with a score of 9.875. With their impressive performance, the Quakers repeated as Ivy Classic champions for the first time since 2012. Becker becomes the first female head coach in Penn gymnastics history to win multiple Ivy Classic titles.
