Penn Wrestler Cross Wasilewski Named Ivy League Wrestler of the Week

Philadelphia – Freshman wrestler Cross Wasilewski has been named the Ivy League Wrestler of the Week following a weekend sweep where he took down two ranked opponents for Penn. This marks his second weekly award of the season.

Last week, Wasilewski defeated #26 Malyke Hines from Lehigh, earning a 10-7 victory in Thursday’s match. He then went on to secure a sudden victory over #12 Ty Whalen from Princeton, winning the bout 4-1. This impressive performance helped him maintain a perfect 5-0 record in Ivy League dual matches.

Wasilewski and the Penn wrestling team will be wrapping up their dual action on Wednesday with a match against #12 Rutgers at 6 p.m.
