The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team is gearing up for a quad meet against Temple, Fisk, and Southern Connecticut State on Saturday, February 8 at McGonigle Hall in Philadelphia. After winning their first dual meet of the season against Cornell, the Quakers are looking to continue their success with standout performances from individuals like Zara Gazdak and Skyelar Kerico.
Penn is currently ranked No. 45 in the Road to Nationals rankings, while Temple sits at No. 55. Fisk and Southern Connecticut are ranked just below at No. 69 and No. 70, respectively. The Quakers have seen success in individual events with gymnasts like Jordan Barrow, Marissa Lassiter, and others placing in vault, bars, beam, and floor exercises.
Temple, led by assistant coach Brittney Miller who previously coached at Penn, is coming off of strong performances in recent meets. Fisk, under the guidance of head coach Corrinne Tarver who was an assistant at Penn, also showed promise with individual titles at the Rutgers Quad. Southern Connecticut State also had top three finishers at the Tonry Invitational.
