Pennsylvania State Police Accepting Applications for 2025 Southwest Law and Leadership Academy – WPXI


The Pennsylvania State Police are now accepting applications for their 2025 Law and Leadership Academy in Southwest Pennsylvania. The academy is open to anyone over the age of 18 who has graduated from high school or has a GED. Classes will be held at the PSP Southwest Training Center in Unity Township on Mondays and Wednesdays, running from May 19 to August 6, with two Saturday classes on June 14 and July 19.

The program is geared towards individuals interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement and is free to attend. Those interested in participating must contact Tpr. Tristan Tappe, the Program Coordinator, at ttappe@pa.gov to apply.
