Video and photo footage captured the dramatic rescue of a driver whose car fell about 100 feet from the side of a highway on the Oregon coast. Members of Cannon Beach Fire and Rescue responded to the incident, using a rope rescue system to extricate the driver and bring them to safety. The victim survived with mild, non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation. The highway was shut down for over two hours during the rescue operation. Local authorities are now investigating the crash. Cannon Beach is located about 80 miles west of Portland.
