Pittsburgh Steelers Injury Report: Top Receiver and Two Key Defensive Starters Unavailable

Steelers Face Injury Challenges Ahead of Eagles Clash

PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Steelers are grappling with injury woes as they prepare for their upcoming matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Key starters George Pickens, Larry Ogunjobi, and DeShon Elliott were sidelined during Thursday’s practice, raising concerns about their availability for the game.

Star wide receiver Pickens missed practice for the second consecutive day due to a grade 2 hamstring strain. While he is not expected to play against the Eagles, there are worries that he could be out for an extended period, further impacting the Steelers’ offensive dynamics.

Defensive tackle Ogunjobi also did not participate in practice, dealing with a groin injury he sustained during last week’s game against the Cleveland Browns, which forced him to exit early. If Ogunjobi is unable to recover in time, Isaiahh Loudermilk is anticipated to start in his place, a significant shift for the Steelers’ defensive front.

In a positive light, defensive tackle Montravius Adams has shown marked improvement, having participated fully in practice for five consecutive days. His return would bolster the Steelers’ defensive line after recovering from a torn meniscus.

Safety Elliott is another notable absence, missing practice due to hamstring tightness. His condition appears to be serious, potentially sidelining him for the game as well. In the event he cannot play, Damontae Kazee is expected to step in, with Eric Rowe possibly being elevated from the practice squad to provide additional defense.

As the Steelers face serious injury challenges, their ability to adapt and perform against the Eagles will be crucial for maintaining momentum in the season. Fans and analysts alike will be closely watching the injury updates in the lead-up to this important matchup.
