The University of Pennsylvania men’s golf team finished ninth out of 12 teams at the Georgetown Intercollegiate held at Echo Lake Country Club in Westfield, N.J. The team shot 299-309 on Monday and improved with a 296 on Tuesday to finish with a total score of 904. Despite their efforts, Princeton came out on top as the team champion with a score of 859.
Senior Ben Scott was Penn’s low scorer at the tournament, tying for sixth in a field of 60 golfers. Sophomore Max Fonseca, classmate Hayden Adams, and senior George Roessler also contributed to the team’s performance. Freshman Wesley Hu scored for the Quakers on Tuesday and finished with a score of 237 for the tournament.
Princeton had the top two finishers on the individual leaderboard, with William Huang taking medalist honors.
Penn will participate in the Big 5 Invitational at Aronimink on October 24 to conclude the fall portion of its 2024-25 campaign.
