Bonita Ansell, Beloved Community Member, Passes Away at 78
Cheswick, PA – Bonita Ansell, a cherished figure in the Cheswick community, passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on February 14, 2024. Born on April 22, 1945, to Charles and Anna (Schmitt) Lynch, Bonita was known for her vibrant spirit and deep connection to her family and friends.
Bonita lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to her community. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard Ansell, along with their three children, Richard Jr., Angela, and Nicole, and five beloved grandchildren. Her family described her as a devoted wife and mother, whose warmth and kindness touched everyone around her.
Throughout her life, Bonita was actively involved in various community organizations, often lending her time and talents to local charities and events. Friends and neighbors remembered her as an advocate for many causes, always striving to make Cheswick a better place. Her passion for community service left a lasting impact on those who knew her.
In addition to her community endeavors, Bonita had a passion for gardening, crafting, and baking, providing joy not only to her family but also to her neighbors. Her homemade cookies and presence at local events were fondly recalled, as she often brought people together with her warm heart and open home.
A celebration of her life will be held on February 20, 2024, at the Cheswick Community Center, where friends and family can gather to share memories and honor her legacy. Bonita Ansell will be dearly missed but forever remembered for her compassion, generosity, and the love she shared with everyone around her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the local food pantry in Bonita’s name, continuing her legacy of kindness and support within the community.
