Quaker Athletes Primed for Ivy League Cross Country Championships

The University of Pennsylvania men’s and women’s cross country teams are gearing up to compete at the Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championships in Princeton, N.J. Senior Dylan Throop and Miranda Schriver have been standouts for the team, with Throop placing fifth at the Princeton Fall Classic and Schriver leading the Penn women at various events. Freshman L’Mio Edwards has also shown promise with impressive performances throughout the season. Last year’s Ivy Championships saw Throop as the runner-up in the men’s race, while the Penn women finished fifth overall.

This year, the Quakers are set to compete with a strong lineup including Nick Carpenter, Sahil Dodda, and Liam Going for the men’s team, and Kyra Compton, Lara Cota, and Miranda Schriver for the women. The team has been earning weekly Ivy Awards, showcasing their talent and dedication.

The upcoming races in November, including the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional and NCAA DI Cross Country Championships, will be crucial for the team’s success.
