Press Release: 2025 Fishing Licenses Now Available in Pennsylvania
Harrisburg, PA – December 1, 2024 – Anglers, get ready for a year of adventure! The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) has announced that licenses, permits, and vouchers for the 2025 fishing season are now on sale. These can be conveniently purchased through the HuntFishPA online portal on the PFBC website, via the FishBoatPA mobile app, or at nearly 700 retail agents statewide.
All licenses, permits, and vouchers purchased today are valid for up to 13 months, effective from December 1, 2024, through December 31, 2025. Customers can easily opt for annual or multi-year licenses, with options for 3, 5, and 10-year permits. Upon purchase, documents can be printed or saved digitally for easy access as proof of possession.
While many anglers still prefer to buy their licenses in person, the online purchasing option helps avoid long lines, especially leading up to the spring trout season, set to begin on April 5, 2025. For added convenience, the auto-renew feature allows customers to stay updated and ensures they’re always ready for the next fishing season.
Additionally, the PFBC offers popular permits, including those for trout fishing, Lake Erie, and unpowered boat launches. Vouchers are also available for gifting, enabling recipients to redeem them for their licenses and permits.
Don’t miss out on your chance to fish throughout Pennsylvania in 2025. For more information and to make a purchase, visit Fishandboat.com or download the FishBoatPA app today.
