The University of Pennsylvania men’s basketball team suffered an 86-78 loss to Navy, who made 15 three-pointers in the game. Despite a strong performance from junior Ethan Roberts, who scored a career-high 33 points, Penn was unable to secure the win. Senior Nick Spinoso also contributed with a double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds. Sophomore Sam Brown added 11 points, and freshmen AJ Levine and Michelangelo Oberti set season highs in various categories.
Navy had a balanced scoring effort, with Austin Benigni leading with 16 points and five assists. Jack Medalie added 14 points and six rebounds, while Cam Cole and Jordan Pennick also reached double figures in scoring.
Penn briefly took the lead at 51-50 in the second half but Navy responded with a run of three-pointers to regain control of the game. Despite multiple attempts to close the gap in the final minutes, Penn was unable to overcome Navy’s lead.
