Theater actor Julien Arnold died during a production of “A Christmas Carol” in Edmonton, Canada. The 59-year-old performer experienced a medical emergency and was unable to be resuscitated by paramedics at the Citadel Theatre. Arnold played Marley and Mr. Fezziwig in the play. The theater will make scheduling changes in light of his death and dedicate the remaining production to honoring his legacy. Arnold was a beloved member of the Edmonton theater community and had a successful career playing various roles in productions such as “Twelfth Night” and “Beauty and the Beast.” He was also a founding member of the Free Will Players theater group. A GoFundMe page has been set up to support Arnold’s wife and cover funeral expenses, raising over $42,000. Arnold’s death has deeply saddened the theater community in Edmonton and his presence on stage will be greatly missed.
