Nick Incontrera of the University of Pennsylvania’s wrestling team has been named Ivy League Wrestler of the Week after an impressive performance at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic. The senior wrestler, ranked #7, dominated the 174A bracket, defeating all three of his opponents, including ranked wrestlers from NC State, Illinois, and Cornell. This is Incontrera’s first time winning at the Journeymen competition in his collegiate career.
Incontrera’s outstanding performance earned him the prestigious hammer award and recognition from the Ivy League conference. The Penn wrestling team is set to host Northern Colorado for a Homecoming showdown at The Palestra on Saturday, Nov. 16, at noon.
