Colin Brown, a beloved and talented teenage hockey player, tragically died days after being hit by a stray bullet on Interstate 55 in St. Louis, Missouri. Brown was on his way home from a game with his family when the incident occurred. Despite being rushed to the hospital in critical condition, he passed away on Wednesday morning. Brown’s family expressed deep appreciation for the support they received from law enforcement, the hockey community, and those who loved Colin. Aspiring to be a doctor, Brown donated his organs to save four lives. His high school, Christian Brothers College, mourned his sudden death and described him as a talented and dedicated student and hockey team member.
The Dawg Nation Foundation has set up a donation fund for Brown’s family, raising $100K so far. Homicide detectives are actively investigating the case and have received tips and video footage related to the shooting. Residents living near the incident location have been requested to review their security cameras for any potential evidence. The St. Louis Police Department urged the public to come forward with any information that could help solve the case. No tip is considered too small in the pursuit of justice for Colin Brown.
