University of Pennsylvania wrestler Jude Swisher was named the Ivy League Wrestler of the Week after an impressive showing at the PRTC Keystone Classic. The sophomore claimed the 157 individual title and Most Outstanding Wrestler honors for the first time in his collegiate career. Swisher dominated the competition, winning his matches by tech fall and decision before defeating Central Michigan’s Johnny Lovett in a comeback victory in the finals.
Swisher’s performance at the tournament earned him the prestigious weekly award and showcased his talent on the mats. The State College native’s resilience and skill were on full display as he battled back from a deficit in the final match to secure the victory.
The Quakers will continue their season on Friday, Dec. 6, with a dual meet in Virginia. Fans can expect more exciting matches from Swisher and the rest of the team as they look to build on their recent success.
Congratulations to Jude Swisher on being named the Ivy League Wrestler of the Week and best of luck to him and the University of Pennsylvania wrestling team as they continue their season. #TheMovement #FightOnPenn.
