Throop came in third in the men’s 10k race, while Johnson placed sixth. The top four finishers not from automatic qualifiers or at-large teams automatically advance to the championships. The men’s team finished seventh overall, with Nick Carpenter placing 54th. On the women’s side, the team finished seventh in the region with Olivia William leading the pack. Throop and Johnson will compete in the championships in Wisconsin on November 23.
