In October, Pennsylvania casinos saw a 2.8% increase in total gambling revenue, reaching $496.5 million compared to the same month last year. Valley Forge Casino Resort experienced the largest growth at 25.6%, reaching $80.9 million in revenue. Two online sites, Golden Nugget and Bally’s Pennsylvania, also saw significant increases in revenue. However, Hollywood Casino at the Meadows suffered a 37.0% decrease, bringing in only $21.5 million.
Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course led all Pennsylvania casinos with $82.5 million in revenue, a 6.9% increase from the previous year. Valley Forge and Rivers Casino Philadelphia followed with $80.9 million and $53.0 million in revenue, respectively.
Slot revenue across the state increased by 4.2%, with Parx Casino leading the way at $31.3 million. In igaming revenue, Hollywood Casino at Penn National generated $69.4 million, Valley Forge brought in $51.9 million, and Rivers Casino Philadelphia reported $33.2 million.
Valley Forge Casino Resort also reported $17.3 million in sports betting revenue from a handle of $348.6 million. Hollywood Casino at the Meadows and Rivers Casino Pittsburgh generated $5.8 million and $1.0 million in sports betting revenue, respectively.
Overall, the Pennsylvania gambling industry continues to show growth in various sectors, with online gambling and sports betting playing a significant role in boosting revenue for casinos across the state.
