The University of Pennsylvania women’s and men’s heavyweight rowing teams achieved great success at the Head of the Schuylkill competition over the weekend. The Quakers won nine out of the ten divisions they competed in, with the women’s team securing victories in four out of five categories.
In the women’s events, the Penn teams placed well across the board. They came in second out of 13 in the Frosh/Novice 4+, with their Championship 4+ team finishing first out of 76. The women’s Frosh/Novice 8+ team also took first place out of 23, while the Club 8+ and Championship 8+ teams secured top finishes as well.
On the men’s side, the heavyweight team showed their prowess with victories in five out of five divisions. The Penn men’s Champ 2- team came in first out of eight, while their Frosh/Novice 4+ and Championship 4+ teams also secured first place finishes.
