The University of Pennsylvania men’s tennis team recently concluded their competition at the Ivy League Invitational in New Haven, Conn. The duo of Luka Butera and Sanjeev Chundu had a strong performance in the doubles side, making it to the semifinals. In singles play, the team went 2-2 in the Round of 32 consolation matches.
Butera and Chundu started the day by defeating a team from Dartmouth in the Doubles Quarterfinals. However, they faced the tournament’s number one seed from Yale in the semifinals and were unable to secure a win.
In singles play, Shaurya Bharadwaj, Luka Butera, and Justin Chung all had matches in the consolation round. Bharadwaj won his match against Dartmouth in a 10-point tiebreak, while Butera and Chung also put up strong performances.
