Early voting in Georgia for the Nov. 5 presidential election saw a record turnout, with 252,000 voters casting their ballots on the first day of early voting. Georgia has tightened its mail-voting laws, requiring proof of identity for absentee ballots. Georgia is one of seven battleground states expected to play a key role in deciding the election.
