Ravens defeat Commanders as Jackson outperforms Daniels and Henry scores two touchdowns

In a highly anticipated matchup between two of the NFL’s top quarterbacks, Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens came out on top against Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders in a 30-23 victory on Sunday. Jackson threw for 323 yards and a touchdown, while Derrick Henry ran for two TDs to lead the Ravens to their fourth consecutive win.

Despite Daniels connecting with Terry McLaurin for two TD passes, the Commanders’ rushing offense struggled without Brian Robinson Jr., managing just 52 yards on the ground. The Ravens capitalized on this, racking up 484 total yards and scoring on impressive drives of 93 and 94 yards.

The Ravens’ defense also made key plays, recording three sacks of Daniels and overcoming early struggles against the pass. Henry’s performance was noteworthy, becoming the first player to rush for a TD in each of his first six games since LaDainian Tomlinson in 2005. Additionally, tight end Mark Andrews had a standout game with his first touchdown of the season and tying a franchise record for catches.

Both teams dealt with injuries during the game, with notable players like Jonathan Allen and Dorance Armstrong leaving the field. The Commanders will look to bounce back against the Carolina Panthers next Sunday, while the Ravens will face a tough test against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Ravens’ victory solidifies their status as a Super Bowl contender, showcasing their balanced offense and strong defense. With Jackson and Henry leading the way, Baltimore is poised for continued success as the season progresses.
