In a thrilling game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings remained undefeated by holding off the New York Jets for a 23-17 victory. Despite a slow start, the Jets had a chance to pull off a comeback in the final minutes, but a crucial interception by Stephon Gilmore sealed the win for the Vikings.
The turning point came early in the game when Andrew Van Ginkel intercepted Aaron Rodgers’ pass and returned it 63 yards for a touchdown, giving the Vikings a 10-0 lead. Rodgers struggled throughout the game, throwing three interceptions, including two in the first quarter. Despite a late touchdown pass to Garrett Wilson, the Jets couldn’t complete the comeback.
Vikings rookie kicker Will Reichard was instrumental in securing the win, hitting three field goals, including a 41-yarder in the final minutes to extend the lead. Sam Darnold had a tough game for the Jets, finishing with 179 yards, one interception, and a fumble.
With the win, the Vikings improved to 5-0 for the first time since 2016. Rodgers reached a milestone by becoming the ninth player in NFL history to throw for 60,000 yards in regular-season games. The Jets head into their next game against the Buffalo Bills, while the Vikings have a bye week before facing the Detroit Lions.
