In preparation for their upcoming game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, the Pittsburgh Steelers had five players miss practice on Wednesday. Running backs Jaylen Warren and Cordarrelle Patterson, outside linebackers Alex Highsmith and Nick Herbig, and tight end MyCole Pruitt were all sidelined with various injuries. The team expects Herbig to play, while Highsmith has been ruled out. Pruitt, Patterson, and Warren are all considered day-to-day and will need to practice before Sunday to be able to play. Patterson was seen without his walking boot on Wednesday. In response to the injuries in the running back room, Aaron Shampklin was elevated to the active roster.
Additionally, starting left guard Isaac Seumalo returned to full practice after missing the last four games with a pectoral injury. Mason McCormick shifted to right guard in place of the injured James Daniels. Quarterback Russell Wilson remained limited but showed improved mobility, including working from a ‘live pocket.’ Defensive lineman Keeanu Benton was limited with a calf injury, and outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon, who is returning from injury, practiced fully.
The Steelers are focused on their upcoming matchup and are making adjustments to their lineup as needed. Fans can stay updated on the team’s progress and injuries leading up to Sunday’s game against the Cowboys.
