Authorities in Utah are responding to a small plane crash in Utah Lake near the Provo Airport. It is believed that two people were in the plane at the time of the crash and it is unlikely they survived based on the nature of the crash. The plane is currently submerged under eight and a half feet of water, and recovery efforts are underway. Divers and a private barge are working to retrieve the plane from the lake. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash, which involved a Cirrus SR22. Fernando Cervantes Jr., a trending news reporter for USA TODAY, is following the story.
