Depth of Mifflin County team leads to decisive victory over State College in tight cross country race.


On Tuesday afternoon, Stephen Fowler from State College finished first in the cross-country race with a time of 17:05, but Mifflin County emerged victorious with a team score of 26-30 against the Little Lions. Wyatt Kauffman from Mifflin County came in second with a time of 17:17, followed by Ben Alexander from State College in third with 17:46. Aidan Scavitti and Koy Aurand from Mifflin County took the fourth and fifth spots with times of 17:50 and 17:51, respectively.

Mifflin County secured the team win by taking three of the next five spots. Hart Oden finished in sixth place with a time of 17:52, Styers Oden in ninth with a time of 18:02, and Hoyt Roderbaugh in tenth with a time of 18:10. This strong performance from Mifflin County’s runners allowed them to come out on top in the team event.

The race was a competitive one, with impressive performances from both individual runners and the teams as a whole. While Fowler claimed the top spot individually, it was Mifflin County’s depth and consistency in the race that ultimately led to their team victory.
