Tito Jackson, a member of the iconic Jackson 5 pop group, has passed away at the age of 70. Tito was part of the famous Jackson family, which included siblings Michael and Janet, and was known for hits like “ABC” and “I Want You Back.” He was also the last of the nine Jackson siblings to release a solo project.
In a statement posted on Instagram, Tito’s sons TJ, Taj, and Taryll expressed their shock and sadness at the loss of their beloved father, who was known for his caring nature. The Jackson family’s music career was guided by their father Joe Jackson, and they achieved international fame under his guidance.
Tito spoke about the impact of his brother Michael’s death in 2009, saying it brought the family closer together. Despite still feeling Michael’s absence, the Jackson brothers continued to tour and perform, keeping his spirit alive through their music.
In his solo career, Tito focused on raising his three sons before releasing his own music. He collaborated with Stevie Wonder on a song titled “Love One Another” with his sons’ group 3T. Tito’s death was confirmed by Entertainment Tonight.
The Jackson family, including siblings Jermaine, Randy, Marlon, Jackie, Janet, Rebbie, and Latoya, and their mother Katherine, mourn the loss of Tito, who leaves behind a legacy of music and love.
