PennDOT has announced the inspection schedule for three bridges along Interstate 81 in East Hanover Township, Dauphin County. The inspections are set to take place next week, with lane restrictions and flagging in place during work hours. Motorists are advised to drive with caution through the work zones.
The I-81 bridge spanning Manada Gap Road will be inspected on Monday, Sept. 9, while the bridge spanning Shells Church Road will be inspected on Tuesday, Sept. 10. The Fire House Road bridge spanning I-81 will be inspected on Wednesday, Sept. 11, and Thursday, Sept. 12, with alternating lane closures in place.
Motorists can stay updated on road conditions by visiting www.511PA.com, which provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to traffic cameras. The 511PA service is free and available 24 hours a day, and can be accessed through a smartphone app, by calling 5-1-1, or by following local alerts on X.
