A.J. Croce will be honoring his late father, legendary singer and songwriter Jim Croce, with the “Croce Plays Croce 50th Anniversary Tour” coming to central Pennsylvania next week. The concert will feature hits such as “Bad, Bad Leroy Brown,” “Time In A Bottle,” “Operator” and “You Don’t Mess Around With Jim,” along with songs from Jim Croce’s albums “Life and Times,” “I Got A Name” and “You Don’t Mess Around.”
The performance will take place on Wednesday, September 11 at the Strand Theatre at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts in York. Tickets can be purchased through the theater’s website, box office, or third-party sellers like Vivid Seats and SeatGeek.
A.J. Croce will be joined on stage by band members Gary Mallaber, David Barard, and James Pennebaker, along with vocalists Jackie Wilson and Katrice Donaldson. The show will also include a multimedia element and some of A.J. Croce’s own original songs.
Jim Croce tragically died in a plane crash in 1973 at the young age of 30, but his music continues to resonate with fans across generations. A.J. Croce’s tribute tour is a moving celebration of his father’s timeless music and legacy. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the magic of the Croce family’s music live on stage.
