Russian helicopter crash leaves 22 passengers dead

A Russian helicopter carrying 22 people crashed in the Kamchatka peninsula and searchers were unable to find any survivors. The Mi-8T helicopter had departed from a base near the Vachkazhets volcano. The crash occurred during a cyclone that brought heavy winds and rain to the region, though it was uncertain if weather conditions were the direct cause of the accident. The wreckage was located by search teams but unfortunately, there were no survivors found among those on board. The Kamchatka peninsula is located about 4,400 miles east of Moscow and is known for its remote and rugged terrain. The incident is currently under investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
